4: even though it's a short story it still has some angsty/sad parts! (Usually in short stories they're not able to fit in any angst/ sad parts, most of it in is usually just s**)
5: honestly is so cute and lowkey made me cry

The title of this confused me when i first started reading because i didnt really understand what point of this was related to chess or checkmating but as it neared the end... well the first sentence speaks for itself.

I dont usually write reviews but this manhwa was so g** da** good, the artstyle, plot and just overall was chef's kiss. I dont think ive ever been so invested in reading a bl that doesnt have any s** scenes and with good storyline. Was in pure shock when finding about certain parts in the storyline which i was super confused about.

OMG THE PART WHERE THEY FIND OUT ABOUT HOW THERE WERE MULTIPLE AUGUSTS' KILLING THEMSELVES AFTER MURDERING PPL AND HOW MAETEL ALRDY KNEW WHO 'AUGUST' WAS LEFT ME IN SHAMBLES
