Im so glad I didn't give up on this one. Honestly, the first few chapters make it really difficult to like or even find interest in the story and one of the the mains is creepy obsessed and the other broken/damning and angry. It's a cliche.
BUT biy does it get interesting after a bit. Hang in there. It's TOTALLY WORTH IT!
The mains are super cute in their red/beige/green flag way. The story is also different and interesting to read.
Don't miss out on this one. Stick with it and you won't regret it.

Sucks big time on Concubine Scandal
This is one of those court intrigue dramas with a 'sassy,' backtalking, severely brain deficient heroine. She's nOt LiKe oThEr GiRls, she rides horses and fights and is 'too spirited' for mere embroidery and flower arranging. This is supposed to be a historical, and her utter lack of manners should've had her and her entire family executed. But because of plot armor and oh-so convenient destiny, she's free to continue her antics without any sort of sanctions. Her 'chemistry' with the prince is basically playground fighting.
It's definitely for middle grade readers, not for ones with a fully developed prefrontal cortex.
