Sucks big time on Love Is An Illusion
it's been a long time since i dropped this because of ra**, and honestly, i do not regret it. it's disgusting how people romantize this kind of stuff. i do not understand the concept of omegaverse, since EVERY SINGLE omegaverse i've read NEEDS desperately some ra** for the main characters to be together or something.
0/10, i absolutely do not recommend reading this, except if you love seeing the alpha doing it with the omega without consent, like always.
edit: "oh but it was at the start" – so what? it still happened, and i DO NOT forgive it.

omg i was about to dislike this comment before reading it but i'm glad i didn't. I FRICKING AGREE WITH YOU i have to say tho the last few chapters were one of my favourites but something that ticks me off about omegaverse is that it revolves around ra**. i really want to see one that doesn't have one but i think it will be hard to find considering how it's all built out. I don't romanticize ra** (i think. i hope i don't. i honestly can't tell since i'm speaking for myself) but that's the thing about omegaverse. in every single story you can see the omega's trying to avoid alpha's and taking pills doing everything they can to not get raped. (typing this now it honestly resembles how women do things to avoid being raped)

Kinda bad on The Origin of Species
Lazy omegaverse story full of cliches. Smart but naive recessive (ish) omega is saved by a big rich alpha. Other cliches include blackmail, the omega falling for the first person to be remotely nice to them, a paying-off-debt subplot and a "miracle" pregnancy. There's also a business deception plot but it's not really interesting enough to hold up the story. Most annoyingly though are the s** scenes - I hate all the "no, no, ow, stop, that hurts, oh look I've c**" nonsense; it borders on the non-consensual in this manga so that was gross.
The flow of the story is also weird - after the initial set up, it's pretty much all just s** until chapter 30. Then there's the long business plot. Then a bit more s**. Then a pregnancy storyline. It's just really fragmented.
I also don't like the way this is drawn - the omega is very skinny and looks like a 12 year old girl. I know omegas are generally smaller but here it's too much and makes it ick-y. One of the "bad guys" also looks too similar to the main alpha, so it's really hard to follow what's happening.
The non-official translations are also trash.
