I reincarnated in a novel inside the body of a villainess named Elise who poisoned herself when her fianc, the prince, married her childhood friend, the maid Helena. From the moment I realized this, I had only one goal. Escape from the world in this novel. Even after death, I tried to get out of this world but the world' did not allow it. However, after rejecting the path of "Elise" in the original novel, the men who had persecuted and ignored Eris began to beg for her interest and affection. "Who are you?" the priest who revived Helena asked. "You are you really Elise?" even the warrior who pledged eternal loyalty to Helena asked. "You have changed," said the prince who rejected Elise in order to marry Helena. It was strange. No one was interested in Elise before. "I don't want to get affectionate even as time passes." She has no confidence in loving this world.

1000/1000 this is one of my favorites now! It's actually phenomenal, not to mention, it's not like other fantasy stories at all. All of the characters have a very depth and interesting view on things and the story doesn't ramble on with things unnecessary. I love it and I now highly recommend!

This story is worth the read! Beautiful art, great plot and character development. Every person in this story had their role to play and the FL was strong and brave throughout. The ML is perfect too! Love this 🥰

First time a villaness who managed to come back to her og world , rare cases where the og heroine wasn't a b i t c h  but just a naive soul , if they didn't met at those circumstances maybe the heroine and villainess could have been friends, and  I find the original villainess also pitful, she wasn't even a villain, but a human , she just expressed herself
The biggest highlight of the story must be the ml, if I had to describe how the ml feeling it would be "I loved a flower so much that instead of plucking the flower i admired it from far" , he didn't wanted her to stay with him in that world and feel restricted but let her go
All these characters who were somehow flawed with different personalities, gave us a beautiful story with
But the ending was happy in my opinion, the fl meets the ml in the modern world and that's where the story ends .
Honestly I am just amazed how all these characters have such complex backstory, even the empress

Do you know Death is the Only Ending for a Villainess? In my review of it, I described it as a josei with an action soul. Still, even with its deforming pull on the otome isekai's tropes, it still WAS a media transmigration story. It strained against the confines of the genre, but it still abided by it.

That is not the case here: this is an unicum. This story HATES otome isekais, it fùcking despises them, and it shows that in two ways.

First, by having a FL who refuses categorically to accept the world she is in. She denies it the dignity of her being a part of it, she remains separate. The other FLs, one way or another, come to accept the transmigration. Eris won't. She is a normal and mundane woman thrown and trapped in a stupid fùcking twisted 2nd rate novel, and she won't have it. She is a real person, gòddamn it, she won't entertain these... paper dolls. And that, in itself, is deeply tragic.

Second, by injecting a pachidermic dose of realism in the tropes, and by showing them in all their problematic and deranged aspects. There aren't love interests, here. Only players in power dynamics, lost in their own traumas.

Then there's Anakin. Ignore the name. People lament he is basic, but they don't understand. Anakin is a man without power. Anakin is an average, normal guy, who loves a girl. That's why the manga excludes him from its moral onslaught.

You need to read this. It's a deconstruction of the otome isekai which nonetheless doesn't compromise on the art (absolutely spectacular), and capitalizes on the writing of its cast and FL (also incredible, proper character studies and all).

Technically immaculate, unique, mature and honestly just all around fantastic. It's gonna butcher the usual tropes, bathe in their blood and set aflame itself in tragedy. I'm giving it a GAI (Grand Accolade of Ivern™️), but please read the official translation.

This was such an amazing read. It was like an emotional roller coaster and the ending was so cute 😭. The FL wasn't some cry baby who relies on the ML all the time and she is such a strong, intelligent, and beautiful woman. The ML is such a green flag,he was dying to go back to the fl's world and he such a cutie unlike those other stories with the ml being the most obsessed and wild person.

should I write in caps? there's a beauty in this story that i would violate with the barbarism of those. I simply have no words. it was beautiful, tragically beautiful. I feel tired, but surely not as much as the fl
Spoiler!
(not eris, she isn't eris anymore)
. I feel drained, I am sad. But maybe tomorrow I'll wake up better (not good because I've never been good, not in the past years, but simply content with the ending without the pungent misery). Yes, let's fall asleep, while my cold and dry tears sink into the flesh of my cheek.
