My ALL TIME FAVOURITE BL, it has literally everything you could want. Cute romance, character growth, generous smexy scenes funny and likeable side characters, bearable conflict, amazing communication. It's just amazing through and through. It's stuck in my head, I can't wait to re read, but my brain won't let me forget what happened😭🥲

To start off, this is still ongoing. I dont usually read or review ongoing mangas since my opinion depends a lot on the ending. BUT this is definitely an exception.

If you like calm, simple slice of life BL, this is the cream of the crops.

The relationship dynamic is tender yet refreshingly realistic. They are not overly sweet or joined at the hips. They have their own lives, they stumble, they talk it out. Just two very different people finding each other and falling in love. It's a consensual, deliberate and mature relationship despite them still being so young.

Side characters are well fleshed out. They get their own moments without it turning into a whole seperate arc.

There is a good balance of plot and sm**. It's only used in places where it suits the pace of the story. And a lot of it in the later volumes is painfully tender and emotional, drawn very well. The art overall is quite beautiful and consistent.

I can wax poetics about it all day, but i think you should just give it a shot.

I love this manga! It's simply wonderful, but it's precisely because it's simple that it' wonderful. They are two people who love each other, face problem, talk, grow thogeter, and respext each other a lot. With all yheri anxieties, jealousies, personal growth and the changes that their families make. As I was saying, it's simply wonderful.  A must read!
I love it!

Beautiful.
Instead of a story with the yaoi perspective we just see 2 people in love. They grow and mature together. It almost brings me to tears how far these 2 boys have come. Nothing extravagant. Just simple everyday things with a lovely couple.
Will always be my comfort manga

Very sweet story about two boys who meet in high school and fall in love. The story follows them through high school and into university.

It's incredibly wholesome and they are adorable as a couple. It was nice to see so many green flags between them and how their relationship developed over time. There is no toxicity at all in their relationship, which is so refreshing when you consider how so much of yaoi is based on toxic/controlling relationships. There are the usual misunderstandings/worries that you'd expect in a relationship story but there's nothing outlandish or exaggerated; it's all very normal stuff, in a really good way!

The only thing I didn't like plot-wise was that the attempted sexual assault of one of the characters is forgiven so easily - just because nothing ended up happening, doesn't mean that the intent wasn't there, and it shouldn't be forgiven just like that. On a milder note, a couple of the side characters are unnecessary in my opinion and there is a side character's crush doesn't get resolved, but those are minor complaints.

The art style is good and is consistent. A couple of times I struggled to distinguish between one of the characters and his brother as they are drawn so similarly, but I figured it out after a few panels from the context of the scene. S** scenes aren't super clear but I think that's on purpose. They aren't super graphic either (by yaoi standards) but that fits the mood of this manga quite well. S** is treated well, always with consent and with a good balance of emotion and physicality.

Translations are generally good. A couple of the late 20's chapters are a bit off so it spoils the immersion a bit, but they weren't bad enough to make me look elsewhere for better ones.

Overall a really good read. I would definitely recommend this if you like uncomplicated and sweet yaoi stories.
